ho scoperto questa canzone relativamente tardi...nel senso che in un sonnecchiante lunedì orfana di lost guardavo uno splendido programma su mtv, dove facevano vedere che fine avessero fatto alcuni teenager stelle degli anni '80. fra questi c'era ione skye protagonista femminile di "say anything"...questa canzone è la canzone della storia d'amore fra lei e il mitico lloyd dobler, che dopo che lei - la ragazza più ricca-più intelligente-più bella della scuola - lo lascia regalandogli una penna...e lui la ricambia così, all'alba va sotto casa sua e con uno stereo gigante le dichiara il suo amore a non sapendo come farlo affida tutto al fido peter gabriel...

dobbiamo quest'opera a peter gabriel, leader carismatico dei genesis, che nel 1986 inserisce questa canzone nel cd "so". forse il più commerciale dei suoi cd e comunque un cd mooolto anni '80. adoro questa canzone perché è bastata sentirla e anche se avevo visto il film anni fa...la scena "mitica" è tornata alla mente....anche se inizialmente gabriel non voleva che si usasse nel film, alla fine ne rilasciò i diritti convertendo quella scena romantica in una delle più citate, più famose e ricordate nella storia del cinema....in lloyd debler we trust!
